Remember when the days/weeks/months of 2020 felt like Groundhog Day?!

I used to call it the Coronacoaster. One minute I was feeling ok.. the next minute depressed.. the next minute frightened… the next minute hopeful.. the next minute I was crawling under the covers… over and over and over.  I lost track of time and even what day it was– they were all the same.

But then… after a few weeks… my writer self kicked in and said: “Knock this shit off. You know what to do.”

I needed to write.
And I needed a community.

And that’s when I started a group I called The Corona Chronicles. I invited anyone and everyone to join– and simply write with me.

I emailed a writing prompt every morning to the group (which was getting bigger and bigger as time went on) and we all shared our stories in a private Facebook group. We also met on Zoom when that became the thing to do. The group lasted well into 2021, and morphed and changed as time went on.  I’m still writing with some of the women that were in the original Corona Chronicles group!

The point is that my writing saved me through those early dark days of the pandemic, and it continues to saves me today.

I still need to write.
And I still need a community.

And I still invite anyone and everyone to write with me.
Click here to send me a message and let me know if you’re interested.  I’ve got a few things up my sleeve that I’d love to share with you.

p.s. Apparently Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow… so we’ve got 6 more weeks of winter 🙁 What better time to hunker down (remember that overused 2020 word?) and get writing!
